Order Process

We want to share a bit about our order process with you before you order so that you can be educated on the steps of the process of getting you your perfect fitting Top Lid.

There are 2 types of Top Lid orders, Standard Lids and Custom Lids. A detailed summary of each type are below...


Standard + Professional Lids:

Benefits
  • Shorter Lead Time: because Standard + Professional Lids don't require a design approval, we create and ship sooner, saving you time in protecting your tank
  • No Measuring: we have tank measurements so you don't need to
  • No Approval: since we have the tank measurements, we will use the exact Cutouts and Add-Ons you specify us to make for you through our website, and there's no model approval needed
  • Slightly Discounted: because we save cost for standard lids, we give the savings to you
Order Process
  • Go to any product page on toplids.com
  • Click the "Standard Lid" or "Professional Lid" button above "Add to Cart"
  • Select the Product Options you'd like before adding to cart (they will appear on-screen one at a time for you to select)
  • Checkout just like normal
  • Once ordered, your project will be automatically input onto our system and started
  • You will receive an email within 3 business days from the time of order that will have a link to view your Lid Design that we will produce for you
  • We will begin production of your order
  • Every Friday afternoon / evening, we will send you a "Project Update Email" containing production status, as well as an ETA to shipping
  • Once production and quality check is complete, we will ship your order to you


Luxury (Custom) Lids:

  • Custom Fit: measured and made specifically for your tank 
  • Endless Options: choose any option that you'd like, and place exactly where you want
  • Special Add-Ons: add signature Top Lids options that you can't find anywhere else, like Diamond Polish, Standard and Colored Engravings, Custom Overflow Covers, etc
Order Process
  • Go to any product page on toplids.com
  • Click the "Luxury Lid" button above Add to Cart
  • Select the Product Options you'd like before adding to cart
  • If the product does not have a Custom Lid button, simply add the lid to cart and order, and a Top Lids Designer will contact you shortly after order on which custom options will work best for you
  • Checkout just like normal
  • Once ordered, your project will be put into our system and started
  • You will receive an email shortly after order titled "[YOUR NAME]'s Top Lids Submit Your Measurements | Your Project Next Steps". In the email there will be a links to PDF and Video Guides of how to properly measure your tank, as well as a link to upload each measurement 1 by 1
  • You can also book a Measurement Call at this stage for us to help you measure over a personal audio / video call
  • A Top Lids Engineer will text / email you to schedule a good time for your Measurement Call
  • On your Measurement Call, our Engineer will walk you through the measurements we need to be sure your lid is a perfect fit, as well as answer any questions you have
  • You will measure and submit measurements to us through the "Submit Your Measurements" email
  • We will take those measurements and check them to be sure they all seem to be done correctly
  • If we see anything that seems off, we will share this with you and ask to remeasure
  • When measurements look accurate, we will take them and make a visual model of your lid with all cutouts and measurements that we will cut on our machines, including small spacers around all of your equipment and the inside of your tank so that your lid is not too tight in those areas
  • You will be able to send feedback and changes on your lid
  • We will change based on this feedback if needed and resend your updated model to you
  • Once you approve your model, your lid will be sent to production
  • Every Friday afternoon / evening, we will send you a "Project Update Email" containing production status, as well as an ETA to shipping
  • Once production and quality check is complete, we will ship your order to you

Lead Time Notice:

Please keep in mind that Lead Times listed here or anywhere on toplids.com or mentioned by Top Lids in any other social media channel or any other medium is an ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME. If certain things happen like machines needing repair in house or measurement delays, model approval delays from the Client (You), among many other reasons, then your Project will be delayed and will supersede the lead time stated.


Terms and Conditions for Consent at Purchase:

Upon placing an order through Top Lids, each Client of ours agrees to the Terms above and also agrees to follow them in good faith on both the side of the Client and Top Lids. If the above Terms are not followed, any promises or guarantees made by Top Lids to the Client as to the Fulfillment of the Order, or otherwise, are voided.
