To start let me say that I wish I bought customs lids seven years ago when I started in the hobby and I'm writing this a few day since the lids were place on the tank. With that said, lids are the most overlooked piece of equipment in the hobby until you have loss of life. Personally I had a few recently which were unacceptable.
I reached out to the crew at Top Lids on more than one occasion and they always were professional and patient. When I finally started the process I was told that it would be an 8 to 10 week process and that measurements will make of break the project. We came in right on time and I found the process quick easy and efficient. The use of direct link to videos from emails were quite brilliant and made for no mistakes in the process.
Something to consider when working with any customer is the "customer service". Every call and every text I sent along the way were replied to within a day or two and usually from the owner of the company. It felt more like working with a friend than just a company but, always professional. It was quite nice to hear, "Hello Joseph, what's up" with every call.
My lids were at my front door when I read the email that had the tracking number. I rushed to the door to do the videos. Opened and unpacked the lids, took pictures, placed them on the tank and took more pictures. Extremely pleased with each one I opened (Marineland 180 - 3 panels). These lids are beautiful pieces of art with all the functionality a reef keepers needs.
To put a pin on how these guys work, Tyler called my personally to see how I like the lids just to close the circle. That is the type and customer service we all wish for when doing business. I have nothing but high praise for my Top Lids and my experience working with them has been nothing less the great. I will be covering my other two tanks when I can (possibly three i the wife let one more through the door).
Cost is a factor and why i reached put a few times prior. These are custom lids and are not inexpensive but, worth every penny spent. I cannot wait to get a few new wrasses in the tank.
