Custom lid with black mesh

Ordered the custom lid with black mesh as I had unique measurements due to my light placement, and autofeeder. The entire process was incredibly smooth. After sending the team my measurements, they quickly (within a few days) sent me back a schematic of what the lid would look like with the cutouts for the lights, and autofeeder.

From there, the processes was great! The team provided weekly communications as to where the lid was at in the production cycle, and when the lid was finished, they sent a picture of what the lid looks like before it was shipped.

When I received the lid, it fit our Reefer 750XXL perfectly!! It looks absolutely stunning with the black mesh.

Why did I go with the black mesh? The whire mesh does reflect the light a bit, so keep that in mind when choosing your lid.

Great Lid!

I purchased this to replace a Red Sea DIY cover that I wasn’t happy with. I have polycarbonate lids from other manufacturers on two other tanks but prefer the feed doors, screening gauge and construction techniques that Top Lids uses. After waiting for the lid to be built to accommodate my light spacing, Tyler was nice enough to drop off the lid and test fit it personally. The lid turned out 100% perfect from fit to finish. From my initial contact to the day of delivery, everything was friendly, as quick as it could be and professional. Highly recommend Top Lids!

What materials are your lids made of?

Our lid frames are made from polycarbonate, thick enough to thoroughly support the lid, but slim enough to keep away excessive condensation and salt creep. Our screens are individually made for us, with thin screen fibers that let through more PAR than other screens, and openings small enough (slightly larger than 1/8") for even the smallest fish or eels to not wiggle through. These materials are water-resistant, easy to clean, and provide long-lasting multi-year protection for your aquarium.
