Lid fits great! Well made and durable!
I recently acquired a Red Sea tank. The new tanks are beautiful but do not come with tops. On the 1st night, my hawk fish jumped out and that was its end. The next day I called Top Lids and ordered my top. The actual lid is extremely light but durable. Easy to take off and on very quickly. The evaporation cover definitely works. Its a bit heavier probably for evap reasons but is also very easy to manage and maneuver. Overall the lid came quicker than expected. Tyler and Fred are a great team and could not be easier to work with on the measurements. You're in good hands and its worth the extra dollars for a great hobby. Do not hesitate, Call them and order your custom top lid.
I received the Top Lid cover on 9-14-2021 and was amazed with the workmanship that I found at the unboxing stage. I found that even though the delivery from the carrier was found to be poor with box torn and damaged, the lids were not damaged at all. Also during the unboxing found components well packed and with film coating that not only protected the lid it also held feed door components in tact. Lid was installed and all additional cut outs and fit perfect fits.
I am definitely giving this a A-1 rating and also will make the arrangements to cover my second tank when returned.
The detailed work on this lid made for a perfect fit. My measurements were checked and rechecked and the finished product could not be better.
Months of close collaboration with the Toplids crew on design and fit led to an amazing final result. The attached image shows just how close the tolerance was with the overflow box. The lid had to sit over it but I didn't want the box too low to result in a low waterline. Weekends never stopped the crew from answering my questions. UNS makes showcase tanks so the lid design has to be subordinate and minimalist. It must never out compete the tank for attention. Toplids understood this and I'm very happy with the outcome.
